McMinnville, Tenn. Jolene Solomon is beginning the new year with her life, her mule named Lou and little else. The Southern Standard in McMinnville reported Solomon had just finished eating supper on New Year’s Day when Lou’s braying and acting up got her attention.

Solomon, 63, who lived alone, stepped outside; she saw her house was on fire. She called 911 and as she waited for fire-fighters, her home and everything in it burned to the ground.
She said her father bought Lou years ago to help her and her late sister, blue, around the farm. It took Lou months to get over the loss of her sister.
Solomon said she has ‘lost it all’, but credits Lou with saving her life.
Jolene is staying with family members and plans to rebuild her home. The home was built by her grandfather and she had lived there all her life.

Hello everyone..I just wanna share my feelings with you.
We have a pet dog named Fritz. We loved him so much and we never treated him as a dog but as a family. He was with us for about 5 years. He is a small type of dog, with a brown fur. He is just an ordinary dog, no breed or anything. He loves to eat meat specially beef. He lives inside our house and sleeps in my parents room. Fritz have his own bed with a comforter. He have his own towel and he likes to drink water in a sprinkles of the shower. Fritz is like a trained dog. He never peed inside our house but rather he knows how to open our door every time he likes to (you know what I mean). Then, after that, Fritz will knock on our door to let us know that he’s done. But yesterday, Dec. 17, 2008 is the worst day of our lives. Our pet dog Fritz died due to sickness. The veterinarian said that our pet has an inside fever. Before he died, my parents went to the veterinarian and ask for help. Fritz was vaccinated 4 times. We really think that he will survive since we already went to a veterinarian and we already have the medicines at hand. But still, he died. I am so mad, so mad to the veterinarian whom we asked for help since I think they really don’t know our pet’s condition. I am so angry with them. We payed so much for them to cure Fritz but then they weren’t able to cure him. Now, me and my family is still mourning.. I miss our pet so much. I wish that now he is okay and that I hope that we will always be in his heart.

I know that some will laugh or some will comment that this is just non sense or we are crying just because of a pet. But you will never understand unless you know how to love or to appreciate even simple things in your life. I hope that you have learned to love animals and to appreciate their existence. Dog’s are really man’s BEST FRIEND!..Love all animals!
